The first signs of aging appear around the age of 30: this is the end of the «infant age », which varies with every individual. It is linked to a deficit between the active ingredients which make up the skin and their disappearance.
The visual signs are due to a thinning of the epidermis and dermis, linked to a loss in water and elastic fibres: this is when the first wrinkles appear. The main and most impacting element in skin aging is sun exposure. Two other factors are also to blame: hormonal aging, and natural aging aggravated by environmental and external factors (pollution, tabacco, stress…).
Numerous techniques which help slow down the signs of skin-aging are now available for anti-aging experts: laser treatments, injections, botulinum toxin, peels; so many solutions that it is essential to use the right amount and right combination for optimal results.
Peels boost production of collagen and elastin by promoting cell renewal. AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) are used, which come from fruits or plants. Results are seen through a radiant complexion (pinker skin), the fading of fine lines and the texture (the skin is very soft to the touch).
